Welcome to the Institute for Business, Ethics, and Public Issues (IBEPI) website. This institute is dedicated to promoting ethical business practices, research, and serving as a forum for the exchange of business information and strategies through maintaining contact with business and industry partners in the Metropolitan Houston area to support ethical awareness through seminars, workshops,and guest speakers. 

This mission is accomplished through:

• Promoting the study of business ethics and conduct research focusing on emerging and current issues;
• Facilitating and maintaining contact with business and industry cultivating a relationship to uphold and promote ethical business practices;
• Sponsoring the exchange of guest speakers and participating in seminars and workshops;
• Providing an opportunity to understand the difference between ethics and the law;
• Understanding the interrelationship of ethics and social responsibility;
• Understanding the role of corporate governance and corporate culture in ethical decision making;
• Providing input into the Business Ethics curriculum;
• Recruiting professionals to lecture on special topics in business ethics
