Commerce Street Building

The New Commerce Street Building is a four-story structure with over 94,000 square feet of space.  The Commerce Street Building houses a multi-purpose banquet / meeting Room (The Allen Room), various meeting spaces, and classroom areas with a scenic atrium and stairway in the foyer.  The Allen Room also has a catering kitchen for your special event needs. The Commerce Street Building sits at the corner of Main and Commerce Streets in Downtown Houston overlooking Allen’s Landing, Houston’s birthplace on Buffalo Bayou. It faces the 75-year-old One Main Building at 1 Main Street, also known as the historic Merchant and Manufacturers Building, and headquarters to Houston ’s Downtown University.  To reserve any room at the Commerce Street Building, please complete a Event Request Form and submit it to the Office of Community Relations and Conference Services in room 621-S to check for availability and reservation confirmation.
