Manuel T. Pacheco, 1988-1991

Dr. Manuel Pacheco earned an M.A. in Spanish and a Ph.D. in foreign language education from Ohio State University. Prior to accepting the presidency at UHD, Dr. Pacheco held various faculty and administrative positions. Upon leaving UHD,
he served as president of Laredo State University. From there he went on to become president of the University of Arizona, then became president of the four-campus University of Missouri system. Dr. Pacheco also served as the Director of Columbia University's National Center on Addiction and Substance Abuse.
