Oversight of The Employee Performance

Performance Managment

Oversight of the employee performance management process is also an essential function of Employment Services and Operations. Employee performance management includes:

  • Planning work and setting expectations
  • Continually monitoring performance
  • Developing employees’ capacity to perform (through mentoring, training, etc.)
  • Formally assessing employees’ performance annually
  • Rewarding good performance (as funds permit)

The performance appraisal system at UHD has undergone a major update. eAppraisal by Halogen Software was launched in March 2007, replacing the former pen and paper system. eAppraisal is a very dynamic, fully web-based and interactive software that more efficiently assesses employee’s performance and tracks employee’s completion of established goals and objectives. Employees and managers also have the ability to record any pertinent notes, year-round, for reference during the evaluation period.
