The University of Houston-Downtown offers a comprehensive onboarding program designed to accelerate employee engagement and performance. The faster employees acclimate to the university and develop a sense of pride and connection to the institution, the faster they become productive, contributing employees. From day one we embrace our “New Gators” by offering a thorough orientation program, both at the university level and within their respective departments. We are dedicated to fostering a positive relationship with employees throughout their first year of employment through our intentional effort of coaching, training, requesting feedback, and scheduling other programs geared at facilitating a smooth transition.
