Hi! I am glad to welcome you to MyProfile, where you may read a brief synopsis of my professional career. I currently serve as the chief human resources officer for the University of Houston-Downtown. I provide overall leadership to the Division of Employment Services and Operations in the development, implementation and application of university-wide human resources strategic planning, as well as provide guidance in employment services and employee operations. These include compensation, benefits, personnel records, training, talent management, campus relations, and payroll. I am also honored to serve as president-elect of the Texas Higher Education Human Resources Association (THEHRA). The association’s mission is to contribute to the professional advancement of human resources administration in state-supported senior colleges and universities in Texas. |
I have over 30 years of higher education experience, including 19 years with the University of Houston-Downtown and the University of Houston. I have extensive experience in personnel management, administrative and fiscal oversight, policy development and implementation, as well as experience in student services and enrollment management. I also worked overseas with City Colleges of Chicago and Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.
I am proud to be a part of an outstanding team of human resource professionals and, most of all, of a University that excels in providing an outstanding education to its students.
