Hi! I am glad to welcome you to MyProfile, where you may read a brief synopsis of my professional career. I currently serve as the chief officer for the Division of Employment Services and Operations. I provide overall leadership in the development, implementation and application of university-wide human resources strategic planning, as well as provide guidance in employment services and employee operations. These include compensation, benefits, personnel records, training, campus relations, and payroll. I have over 27 years of higher education experience, including 14 years with the University of Houston-Downtown and the University of Houston. I have extensive experience in personnel management, administrative and fiscal oversight, policy development and implementation, as well as experience in student services and enrollment management. I also worked overseas with City Colleges of Chicago and Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, overseeing all aspects of an education center - recruiting and hiring faculty, faculty orientation, course scheduling, student registration and certification, managing the operating accounts and student account receivables, and employee supervision. Likewise I have six years of experience providing executive level support to the President of UH-Downtown, assisting in the development of his unit plan, managing his budget and account reconciliations, supervising the departmental staff and serving as legislative/governmental affairs liaison. I am proud to be a part of an outstanding team of human resource professionals and, most of all, of a University that excels in providing an outstanding education to its students. Best wishes, |
